There’s ‘blocks’ Of Fun To Be Had At Vaughan’s Legoland Discovery Centre

Vaughan Kids Attractions

Lego sure has come a long way since it was first introduced it in 1949. As the original building block, Lego has kept up with times and is now available in a variety of theme sets, complete with mini figures, motors, gears and lights.

The word ‘Lego’ comes from a Danish word for “play well” and this much-loved toy has certainly lived up to its name over the years.

Whether Lego is a hit with the kids or one of your favourite pastimes, a visit to the Legoland Discovery Centre in Vaughan is great for some indoor fun on those rainy days.  Geared towards children three to 10 years old, Legoland features a variety of attractions, two rides, a 4D cinema and a café. It’s the perfect place for kids to let their imaginations run wild.

The whole family can hop aboard the Kingdom Quest chariot, where you’ll battle skeletons and trolls with your mounted laser guns as you race along a track on a mission to rescue the captured princess. Next, test your knowledge of Toronto’s iconic landmarks in MiniLand, where some of the city’s most recognizable buildings have been replicated into miniatures using 1.5 million Lego blocks.

For those who feel the need for speed, visit the Lego Racers Build and Test area. Get creative and build an airplane, train or car and race it down the speed test track.

Serious Lego builders will want to stop by the Lego Master Builder Academy where the Discovery Centre’s own Master Model Builder will teach kids some of their tried-and-true tricks with hands-on instruction.

Younger kids will have a blast in the DUPLO Village, where hundreds of DUPLO bricks and giant soft bricks, exclusive to the Discovery Centre, are available to stacking, climbing and tumbling. The Lego Construction Site is also geared towards younger children, with a maximum height restriction of three feet.
For a birthday party your kids won’t soon forget, call 1-855-356-2150 for details of the Lego themed party packages.
