Reptilia Reptile Zoo and Education Facility is a one-of-a-kind destination located in Vaughan, just north of Toronto. The 25,000 sq. ft. centre is dedicated to showcasing reptiles and amphibians while educating visitors about these unique creatures that tend to cause most people to shudder in terror.

At Reptilia, you’ll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s most feared reptiles and amphibians. The crew at Reptilia loves to show off the residents so there are a number of shows and tours offered on a daily basis. Shows take place every hour on the hour and are included with the price of admission. Feeding time is also popular with the kids, so each day of the week offers a rare opportunity to watch one of the reptiles enjoy their dinner. Check out the website for the feeding time schedule.

Reptilia offers an extraordinary way to celebrate your little thrill-seeker’s birthday. Your host will bring an assortment of creatures to the party room for your very own interactive reptile show, where kids will have the opportunity to touch and hold the animals. Next, a guided tour of the zoo will offer plenty of fascinating facts about reptiles and amphibians and the chance to explore for as long as you like.

You can also bring the zoo to your place with one of Reptilia’s at-home parties. The hour-long show will feature snakes, lizards, crocodilians and turtles and give kids the chance to touch each one. Visit the website for further details and pricing.
For kids with a serious passion for reptiles and amphibians, Reptilia also offers weekly summer camps from July 4 until August 31. Campers are divided into three age groups and will learn about handling, feeding and caring for reptiles and much more. Ask about the Junior Keeper Program for children 7-14.

For those who feel the need for speed, visit the Lego Racers Build and Test area. Get creative and build an airplane, train or car and race it down the speed test track.

Serious Lego builders will want to stop by the Lego Master Builder Academy where the Discovery Centre’s own Master Model Builder will teach kids some of their tried-and-true tricks with hands-on instruction.

Younger kids will have a blast in the DUPLO Village, where hundreds of DUPLO bricks and giant soft bricks, exclusive to the Discovery Centre, are available to stacking, climbing and tumbling.
