About the Town of Aurora

The Town of Aurora is located north of the City of Toronto and just north of the Town of Richmond Hill. It is generally considered a part of the Greater Toronto Area and is a lovely place to live, work and play! Aurora is made up of the following communities: Aurora Estates | Aurora Grove | Aurora Heights | Aurora Highlands | Aurora Village | Bayview Northeast | Bayview Southeast | Bayview Wellington | Hills of St. Andrew | Rural Aurora

Bus service is provided by York Region Transit and VIVA. Buses help connect Aurora to other parts of York Region and to TTC Transit in Toronto.

Aurora is a popular and growing town for growing families that require good schools, safe neighbourhoods and a lower entry level price point when compared to City of Toronto. On the other side of the spectrum, Aurora is very popular for estate and custom built homes built in the rolling hills and nestled within the Oak Ridges Moraine.

New residential construction continues to flourish with the addition of low-rise condominium buildings and condo townhouses.

One of the best attributes of Aurora is the small-town feeling mixed with big metropolitan amenities. Aurora has 46 parks covering over 700 acres. Having the 25-Km trail system in your backyard is a dream come true for anyone that enjoys running, biking, snow shoe and skiing.

Home prices in Aurora continue to grow as new residents and businesses continue to move in to this great town. Aurora is a special place to live and worth the visit.
